Shopping
Villars boasts good shopping for clothing, watches and chocolates galore! Excursions to Montreux (30km) offers even more choice of excellent shopping.

Walking ans Snowshoeing
There are 25 km of cleared paths for walking and snowshoeing. Snowshoeing is becoming popular in Villars. The tourist office issues a map with four itineraries, which are marked routes so you can hire your snowshoes and head off into the mountains. Non-skiers can enjoy a beautiful walk in the sunshine around the lake of Bretaye at 1800 metres. Here there are two restaurants where non-skiers can join skiers for lunch.

Golf
The Villars 18 hole golf course boasts breathtaking views over the Dents du Midi mountain range. In the winter this course forms part of the ski piste.

Adventure and Water Parks
For a forest adventure do not be scared to take to the trees and have a true birds eye view of the mountains and surrounding area - Parc Aventure. For adults and children the aqua parc at Le Bouveret is open all year round and is just a 25 minute drive.

Biking
6 trails covering over 120km of challenging forest area.

There is also an artificial ice rink, indoor swimming pool, indoor tennis, squash, fitness center and bowling alley.

At night
There is a good choice of restaurants and bars and 2 discos, and in high season a weekly torch lit descend from Bretaye.
